Meet Patrick

I grew up in a small apartment on theNorthwest side of Chicago with my parents and two brothers. My parents instilled in me a belief that, in America, with hard work and an abiding faith in God you can do anything. I carried that belief with me through my years at Marquette University where I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting in 1991.

I then attended DePaul University where I received my law degree and fell in love with my wife of thirteen years,Susan. I became a commercial litigation attorney for two prominent law firms in downtown Chicago for a few years before I decided to get into homebuilding and real estate development.Susan and I are the proud parents of three children, Anna, Katherine, and John. We reside in Hinsdale, IL and are active parishioners at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church. As a father I try to instill the same values my parents taught me that helped me become the person I am today.

While I have never been formally involved in politics before, and this is my first time running for elected office, I am very committed to winning in 2010 and representing Conservative values in Washington. I made the decision to run for U.S. Senate after watching politicians in our nation’s capital let government spending get out of control while our economy continues to suffer. As a businessman and capitol investor I know that limited government spending and the removal of oppressive taxes and unnecessary regulations will lead to economic growth.

The increased spending and growing size of government is the kind of activity in Washington that I will not support. There is no room in America for more taxes and expanded government control over businesses. Our economy grows when private citizens and businesses are freed from unnecessary government intervention. Lower taxes, restrained government spending and the elimination of oppressive regulatory schemes that crush innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit are the hallmarks of my economic philosophy. I cannot and will not support a legislative agenda that includes Cap and Trade regulations and government controlled health care.

I believe that it is time conservative values are brought back to Washington. The last thing Washington needs is more Washington. It is time we start protecting the American taxpayer with lower taxes, smaller government, and responsible spending. We also need to protect our constitutional rights, including 2nd amendment rights, and core family values from continual attacks by liberals.

Our country is at a crossroads and we need solutions. Larger government is almost never the solution to the problems we face as Americans. Government’s role should be to foster an environment that allows every American to achieve their own version of the American Dream. As my campaign for U.S. Senate moves forward I promise to earn your support as we seek to make our nation great again.
